Privacy Policy

Effective Date: November 2, 2026

Jones Environmental, Inc., a California corporation ("Jones Environmental," "Jones," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy (this "Policy") explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit jonesenv.com or any page that links to this Policy (the "Site"), contact us through the Site, or otherwise interact with us online. Although the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq., as amended, including by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020, and the regulations promulgated thereunder (collectively, the “CCPA”) does not apply to our operations or a particular processing activity, this Policy nonetheless describes rights that may be available under the CCPA and other applicable laws governing the collection and use of personal information. Our Cookie Policy, available at jonesenv.com/cookie-policy/ (the "Cookie Policy"), forms part of and is incorporated by reference into this Policy, and this Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Use, available at jonesenv.com/terms-of-use/ (the "Terms"). If this Policy conflicts with the Cookie Policy or the Terms regarding the handling of personal information or your privacy rights, this Policy controls; if this Policy conflicts with the Terms regarding any other matter relating to your use of the Site, the Terms control. This Policy does not replace or amend any executed Service Agreement (as defined in the Terms), which controls for the services it covers. Capitalized terms used but not defined in this Policy have the meanings given in the Terms or the Cookie Policy, as applicable.

This Policy covers the Site and online interactions that link to it. It does not govern laboratory samples, chain-of-custody records, analytical data, test results, reports, or services governed by a separate written Service Agreement or other client agreement. Submitting information, a form, a chain-of-custody document, or a request through the Site does not create a client, contractual, fiduciary, or other service relationship; constitute sample acceptance or testing authorization; establish a turnaround time; or impose any duty to act. Jones is not obligated to receive, preserve, collect, transport, analyze, report on, or otherwise handle any sample unless and until Jones confirms the applicable engagement in writing through an authorized representative and any required Service Agreement and chain-of-custody process is completed.

BY USING THE SITE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ THIS POLICY. WHERE CONSENT IS REQUIRED BY LAW, JONES WILL REQUEST CONSENT THROUGH THE APPLICABLE INTERFACE. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE SITE.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us. When you complete a contact form, request information about a quote or courier pickup, email or call us, or access a resource, we may collect the following categories:

  • Identifiers, such as your name, email address, phone number, and mailing or project address
  • Professional information, such as your company name, job title, and project details
  • The contents of your messages and any files you choose to send us

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

  • Device and connection information, such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers;
  • Usage information, such as pages viewed, links clicked, referring URLs, time spent on pages, and the date and time of your visit; and
  • Approximate location derived from your IP address (city or region, not precise geolocation).

Jones and its service providers may collect this information using cookies, tags, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies, depending on the Site's current configuration. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Information from third parties. We may receive information from vendors that help us operate the Site, such as providers of analytics, spam protection, hosting, communications, and embedded content, and from business partners or referral sources who introduce you to us.

General Site forms are not approved channels for sensitive personal information; confidential, classified, export-controlled, law-enforcement-sensitive, government-sensitive, or regulated information; protected health information; payment-card or financial-account credentials; credentials or access codes; chain-of-custody records; laboratory samples or sample data; or time-critical instructions. Do not submit such material unless Jones has expressly authorized a specific secure channel in writing. If you submit information through a general form, you represent that you are authorized to do so and that the submission does not violate law, contract, confidentiality, security, procurement, or handling requirements.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to inquiries and requests for information about quotes or sample pickup;
  • schedule, administer, and support laboratory or mobile lab services;
  • send service notices, holiday schedules, and other business communications you would reasonably expect;
  • operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site, including through analytics;
  • detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, spam, abuse, and security incidents;
  • comply with legal, regulatory, and accreditation obligations; and
  • enforce our Terms of Use and protect our rights, property, and safety, and those of others.

3. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose personal information only as described below:

  • Service providers and contractors. Vendors that host or support the Site or provide analytics, communications, spam protection, embedded content, and IT support, subject to contracts and role classifications required by applicable law.
  • Professional advisors. Attorneys, accountants, auditors, and insurers, as needed.
  • Legal and safety. Government authorities, courts, or other parties when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, property, or safety.
  • Business transfers. A buyer, successor, or other party in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business.
  • With your direction. Other parties when you ask us to or consent to it.

Jones does not sell your personal information, nor does Jones share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in the CCPA. As of the “Effective Date” above, Jones has not done so in the preceding twelve (12) months. Jones does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under the age of eighteen (18).

4. Cookies, Analytics, and Your Choices

The Site may use Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager to understand Site usage and Google reCAPTCHA, which is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, to protect forms from spam and abuse. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, subject to Google's availability and terms.

If enabled, pages with embedded videos may load content from Vimeo or another provider and may permit that provider to collect data or set cookies in accordance with its own privacy policy. Links to third-party sites, including LinkedIn, take you to services with their own privacy practices.

Global Privacy Control. In the event that the CCPA is applicable or Jones engages in activity subject to an opt-out right, Jones will process recognized opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control ("GPC") signal, as required by applicable law.

Do Not Track. Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Because no common industry standard exists for these signals, the Site may not respond to them.

5. How Long We Keep Information

We retain personal information for the period reasonably necessary for the purposes described in Section 2 above, taking into account legal, regulatory, accreditation, contract, dispute, security, and records-management requirements:

  • Website inquiries that do not become client relationships: up to three (3) years after our last contact.
  • Client and business-contact records: for the life of the relationship plus the period required by law or accreditation standards.
  • Analytics data: up to fourteen (14) months, under our Google Analytics retention settings and tag data.

When personal information is no longer required under the retention periods described above, Jones will use commercially reasonable efforts to delete or de-identify it, subject to backup cycles, legal holds, regulatory inquiries, insurance matters, security needs, and technical limitations.

6. How We Protect Information

Jones uses administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections, access controls, multifactor authentication, encryption at rest where applicable, logging, backups, vulnerability management, vendor security requirements, incident response, and secure form routing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Do not use general Site forms for sensitive or restricted material, and use only secure channels expressly authorized by Jones in writing.

7. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident and the CCPA applies to Jones or the relevant processing activity, you may have the following rights, subject to applicable statutory conditions, exceptions, and verification requirements.

  • Right to know. You may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed it.
  • Right to delete. You may request that we delete personal information we collected from you.
  • Right to correct. You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing. Jones does not sell or share personal information, as those terms are defined in the CCPA, but you may still submit a request to opt out, including through GPC or another legally recognized opt-out preference signal, as described in Section 4.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. Jones does not knowingly collect or use sensitive personal information for any purpose, but you may still submit a request to limit the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information.
  • Right to non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

CCPA disclosure for the preceding twelve (12) months:

How to submit a request. To submit a request, email us at privacy@jonesenv.com or call us at (714) 449-9937. In your request, identify the right you wish to exercise and provide the information reasonably necessary for us to locate the relevant records. Verification. To protect personal information, Jones uses a documented, risk-based process to verify a requester's identity or authority to the degree required by applicable law, considering the type, sensitivity, and risk of the information requested. Jones may request additional information solely for verification, will avoid collecting unnecessary sensitive information, and may deny or limit a request if identity or authority cannot be verified.

Authorized agents. Where permitted by law, you may use an authorized agent to submit a request. Jones may require proof of the agent's authority and direct verification by you, subject to exceptions for a valid power of attorney or other legally sufficient authorization.

Shine the Light. California Civil Code § 1798.83 may permit California residents to request information about certain disclosures of their personal information to third parties for those third parties' direct marketing purposes. We do not knowingly make such disclosures, but you may still submit a request by emailing us at privacy@jonesenv.com or calling us at (714) 449-9937. Jones will confirm receipt of your request and respond within thirty (30) days, or such other period as required by applicable law, subject to any permitted extensions.

8. Residents of Other States

Depending on where you live and whether an applicable state privacy law covers Jones or the relevant processing activity, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, or to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal information, or certain profiling. To submit a request, email us at privacy@jonesenv.com or call us at (714) 449-9937. In your request, identify your state of residence and the right you wish to exercise, and provide the information reasonably necessary for us to locate the relevant records. If applicable law provides a right to appeal our decision, Jones will provide appeal instructions and respond within the period required by applicable law.

9. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for business and professional users and is not directed to children under the age of eighteen (18). Jones does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under eighteen (18) through the Site. If you believe that a child under eighteen (18) has submitted personal information to us through the Site, please email us at privacy@jonesenv.com or call us at (714) 449-9937. Jones will review the report and take any action required by applicable law, subject to verification, legal obligations, and technical limitations.

10. Third-Party Websites

The Site may link to third-party websites, including regulatory agencies, accreditation bodies, and social media platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. Please review their privacy policies.

11. International Visitors

We are based in the United States, and the Site is intended for users in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Site, you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your information in the United States as described in this Policy.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" above and provide any additional notice or consent required by applicable law. Continued use of the Site after an update is subject to the then-current Policy but does not replace consent where consent is legally required.

13. Severability

If a court or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction determines that any provision of this Policy is invalid, illegal, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and will be modified, limited, or severed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of this Policy will remain in full force and effect. A determination that a provision is invalid, illegal, void, or unenforceable in one jurisdiction will not affect the validity or enforceability of that provision in any other jurisdiction or of any other provision of this Policy. Nothing in this Policy waives or limits any right you may have under applicable law, including the CCPA to the extent it applies.
